Mobile Lifting Equipment Service Specialist – Shop Operations

• Do you excel at tracing electrical gremlins and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment?
• Are you comfortable switching from preventive maintenance to an urgent after-hours fix without missing a beat?
• Can you communicate findings clearly and document every step from estimate to parts used?

What you’ll tackle

• Hands-on service for articulating cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, bucket trucks, platforms, conveyors, trucks, and trailers.
• Preventive maintenance aligned to customer schedules, Annual DOT inspections, and warranty service.
• Emergency/unscheduled troubleshooting and repairs during working and non-working hours.
• Straightforward communication of mechanical issues and recommended actions to the Shop Service Manager.
• Accurate, timely paperwork: estimates, work order authorization, ordering/recording parts, labor entry, and inventory documentation.
• Adherence to state and federal safety regulations; keep the shop safe, clean, and well organized.

What you’ll need

• High School diploma or GED; about 3 years of mechanical experience/training, especially with articulating cranes and forklifts.
• Strength in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems; diagnostic troubleshooting and welding skills.
• Basic computer skills in Windows; self-directed, resourceful, and initiative-driven.
• Physical capacity to sit, stand, bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 75+ lbs for extended periods.
• Comfortable with inside/outside conditions, noise, vibration, oils, and standard shop hazards.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Bring your own hand tools; proprietary PALFINGER tools supplied.
