US, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Mobile Fleet Mechanic to support operations at the Asphalt plant located Clinton, MD. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment. Responsible for keeping the equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; performing repairs when needed. This position typically works from 7:00pm - 7:00am Sunday thru Thursday. Generally the first 90 days of employment the selected candidate will be working morning shift.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
<\/p>
· Perform general overhaul, tune up and repair work on automobiles and related power driven equipment.
<\/p>
· Inspect, adjust and replace necessary units and parts including cooling, fuel and exhaust components.
<\/p>
· Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability.
<\/p>
· Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner.
<\/p>
· May fabricate and modify parts and equipment.
<\/p>
· Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair and replacing parts and components.
<\/p>
· Service machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulics systems, mobile and stationary equipment.
<\/p>
· Provide routine inspections of vehicles
<\/p>
· Keep an accurate log of all work performed.
<\/p>
· Maintain and clean all garage equipment and tools to ensure equipment is kept in useable condition at all times.
<\/p>
· Adhere to company work safety policies
<\/p>
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
<\/p>
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent
<\/p>
· Must have own mechanical tools (Any specialty tools that are needed will be provided)
<\/p>
· Required Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience performing the functions listed above in a construction, building materials, manufacturing or industrial environment.
<\/p>
· Mechanical skills, physical strength, practical skills, problem solving orientation, and customer service abilities.
<\/p>
· Proficient in hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems
<\/p>
· Ability to prepare work estimates and quotes
<\/p>
· Experience conducting routine services and vehicle maintenance
<\/p>
· Excellent oral communication skills with close attention to detail
<\/p>
· Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills
<\/p>
· Ability to work in all weather conditions without limitations.
<\/p>
· Ability to lift 50lbs
<\/p>
· Reliable transportation
<\/p>
· Licenses Required: Valid Driving License
<\/p>
· Good Driving Record
<\/p>
· Welding skills highly desirable (CW,CW,CWE or CWRT)
