American Transportation Services has an immediate opening for qualified trailer/tractor technician. Qualified candidates must be a self-starter with the ability to work remotely with little to no supervision. We provide a friendly & stable work environment primarily focused on day shift hours M-F. Selected candidates will be responsible for maintaining trailering equipment as well as performing minor external repairs on yard spotting equipment (switchers) for a Fortune 500 package delivery company. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Qualified Tech 1-3 years as a mechanic, ability to diagnosis and repair switchers, trailers, and converter dollies. Must be qualified to perform state and federal inspections. Experience in: trailer/mechanic (similar) a plus Responsibilities Include but not limited to: - Perform FAI and State required inspections.
- Inspect and repair 'S' cam air brake systems.
- Diagnose and repair anti-lock brake systems.
- Perform repairs to commercial trailers and converter dollies in all potential aspects.
- Familiar with Cummins Insight
- Diverse diagnostic skills
