Mobile Mechanical Installer

Position Summary: Mobile installation of light duty, commercial truck and van equipment.

Essential Job Functions and Duties

• Must travel to various locations to perform installation work as required
• Read individual work orders and assemble all product prior to install
• Ensure product meets quality requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organized work bay/vehicle
• Knowledge of job safety to ensure safe work practices
• Maintain all licenses and certification required to perform assigned duties
• Test drive vehicles to ensure quality of installations and repairs
• Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment and/adaptations
• Adhere to strict safety and quality control production standards
• Complete all jobs within acceptable time limits
• Provide on-the-job training for mobile installers and apprenticeships
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Vocational school a plus
• Must be able to perform install related physical activities; frequent/continuous standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching of product weighing up to 50 lbs without injury
• Previous mechanical work experience using hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools
• Experience working with hydraulic and electrical systems
• Solid electrical and/or automotive wiring experience
• Welding experience and custom fabrication experience
• Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Candidates must successfully complete criminal and submit to a motor vehicle background check

Skills:

• Ability to follow diagrams, written and verbal instruction
• Ability to work with others and possess good communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Able to function capably in a production environment; working around moving vehicles, assembly and installation bays
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequently lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work outside on occasion
• Ability to work in a loud environment
• Participate and comply in required company safety programs, trainings and PPE guidelines.
