Responsibilities

  • Perform mobile phlebotomy procedures with accuracy and patient care in home or on-site settings.

  • Meet daily/weekly collection targets and contribute to territory pipelines.

  • Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, and chain-of-custody per protocol.

  • Travel within assigned territory to collect blood samples efficiently.

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and privacy guidelines.

  • Document patient interactions and test orders in electronic health records.

  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new collection techniques.

  • Escalate any quality issues or sample problems promptly per protocol.

  • Educate patients on test processes, pre-collection requirements, and aftercare.

  • Report equipment needs and stock levels; coordinate with support teams for supplies.

  • Collaborate with clinicians and operations to optimize routes and improve efficiency.

  • Maintain professional appearance and represent the company’s growth-focused culture.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Certified phlebotomist with valid state license or registration.

  • Adherence to safety, infection control, privacy, and HIPAA/compliance standards.

  • Experience in mobile or home-visit phlebotomy, with safe at-home procedures.

  • Proficiency in specimen labeling, chain-of-custody, and EHR documentation.

  • Strong time management to meet daily collection targets and territory pipelines.

  • Ability to travel within an assigned territory with reliable transportation.

  • Excellent patient communication; ability to educate on test processes and aftercare.

  • Comfort with performance-based environment; track and report metrics/quality issues.

  • Willingness to engage in ongoing training and upskill in new collection techniques.

  • Strong teamwork with clinicians and operations; contribute to route optimization.
