Overview

An organization is seeking a Mobile Security Developer with specialized expertise in Microsoft Intune, focusing on Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) setup within Microsoft 365. This role will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and managing device and application security policies to ensure secure access to organizational resources across mobile endpoints. The ideal candidate has hands-on, specialized experience with Intune-based MAM/MDM configurations, not just general Microsoft 365 administration experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM).

• Set up and maintain device enrollment, compliance policies, and conditional access within Microsoft 365.

• Implement application protection policies to secure organizational data on managed and unmanaged mobile devices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to device enrollment, policy conflicts, and application access.

• Collaborate with IT and security teams to align mobile security configurations with organizational compliance requirements.

• Monitor and maintain mobile device compliance and security posture across the organization.

• Document Intune configurations, policies, and standard operating procedures.

• Support ongoing optimization and troubleshooting of MAM/MDM environments as needs evolve.

Required Experience & Skills

• Mid-level, hands-on experience configuring and managing Microsoft Intune.

• Specialized, direct experience with Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) setup.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools.

• Experience with conditional access policies and device compliance configurations.

• Understanding of mobile application protection policies for both managed and BYOD devices.

• Strong troubleshooting skills related to device enrollment and policy application.

• Ability to work independently in a remote contract role.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with IT and security stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Microsoft certifications related to Intune, Endpoint Manager, or Microsoft 365 Security.

• Experience with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) conditional access integration.

• Familiarity with endpoint security tools beyond Intune (e.g., Defender for Endpoint).

• Prior experience in a client-facing or consulting environment.
