Job Description

Drive a mobile workforce unit into the community and help people find work. This is a hands-on, out-in-the-field position for someone who likes variety, meeting people, and staying busy. You'll be the face of the mobile unit — setting it up at community events, greeting customers, and connecting them with job leads, training programs, and local resources.

If you enjoy customer service but don't want to sit behind the same desk every day, this one is worth a look.

Pay: $21.63 per hour Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Location: Fort Pierce, FL (with regular travel to community sites throughout the Treasure Coast)

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary driver of the mobile units and get them ready for scheduled events and service days

  • Keep the units clean, stocked, safe, and mechanically ready; arrange routine maintenance and repairs

  • Make sure onboard technology — laptops, printers, routers, phones — is working before service begins

  • Greet and engage customers, identify their needs, and manage the flow of service

  • Walk customers through available programs, partner services, and community resources

  • Assist with job searches, job referrals, workshops, and online career tools

  • Source qualified candidates for open job orders and follow up

  • Enter service notes and customer activity into the state system accurately and on time

  • Track visits and service activity, and pull reports on unit usage and deployment

  • De-escalate and resolve customer concerns professionally and document as required

What You Need

  • Associate degree + 1 year of hands-on, in-person customer service experience, OR

  • High school diploma/GED + 3 years of hands-on, in-person customer service experience

  • Valid Florida driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance — you must be insurable under the company policy

  • Comfort driving a large mobile unit (training provided)

  • Solid Microsoft Office skills and the ability to pick up new systems quickly

  • Strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in the field

  • Patience and professionalism with the public, including difficult conversations

Nice to have: knowledge of the local job market, workforce programs, or prior experience with Employ Florida.
