Are you the go-to problem solver on tough welds?

Picture this: you pull up to a site in your company vehicle, open the drawings, and map out a plan. By the end of the day, your MIG, flux-cored, or stick welds have transformed components into a precise, secure structure—inspected and ready for service. If that sounds like your kind of win, we want to talk. This Mobile Structural Welder role serves projects across South Carolina from Irmo, SC 29063—and you don’t have to live in Irmo to make a big impact.

What a successful week looks like

  • Turn complex blueprints and specifications into a clear welding game plan.
  • Run MIG, flux-cored (Flux), and stick processes with accuracy on diverse materials.
  • Work safely and methodically, following all equipment and site safety requirements.
  • Inspect welds for quality, verifying they meet industry and project specifications.
  • Troubleshoot alignment, heat input, or equipment issues with your crew and supervisor.
  • Pitch in on mechanical work—installation, takeaway, and repair of mechanical machinery—when the project calls for it.
  • Keep your station clean and tools accounted for, then capture key notes for the next shift or site.
  • Invest in your craft through ongoing training and skills development.

Travel made simple

  • All travel costs are covered and per diem is involved. More information will be given throughout the interview process.
  • A company vehicle is given.
  • You do not have to be directly located in Irmo. Anyone in the South Carolina area is encouraged to apply.
  • More information surrounding the travel will be given throughout the interview process.

Readiness checklist

  • High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
  • Solid track record as a welder with projects you’re proud to show.
  • Comfort across MIG, flux-cored (Flux), and stick techniques.
  • High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
  • Works well independently and with a team in fast-paced settings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility for changing requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites.
