Responsible for driving the Mobile Unit throughout the state of Georgia Performs duties in the safe operation of a motor vehicle and the transportation of individuals, as well as skilled work in the mechanical maintenance and repair of automobiles, trucks, related equipment.

• Must be able to effectively communicate with staff, patients, and other visitors.
• Provide driving services to different scheduled addresses and through routes and follow all Federal Department of Transportation, state, and local regulations, as well as all company safety and travel
• policies.
• Follow routes and time schedules as assigned.
• Provide superior customer service to ensure high quality and complete customer satisfaction.
• Must be willing to work shifts that require an adjusted schedule, based on the scheduling of community health fairs (e.g. weekends and some holidays);
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate assigned vehicle(s).
• Ability to maintain accurate travel and vehicle maintenance and repair logs.
• Ability to read maps, estimate trip times.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public.
• Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment.
• May perform additional duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a good driving record. Must be able to obtain State of Georgia Class "C" vehicle operator's with five years or more directly related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous commercial driving experience is preferred but is not required.

Automotive mechanic experience preferred.

Employment in this role may be contingent upon extramural funding and successful performance and may be terminated or reduced in percentage of appointment if such funding is not secured or ceases to be available.

Immunization Requirements

It is MSM's Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate's offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
