    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Mobile Dental Unit Driver is responsible for transporting the mobile unit to and from pre-determined service sites as scheduled. The Driver is also responsible for ensuring that the mobile unit assigned to them is maintained to the manufacture's specifications and to the standards set by the organization.

    POSITION-SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for operating the mobile unit in a safe manner and obeys all traffic laws (to include DOT regulations).
    • Park and secure mobile unit at the assigned service site.
    • Perform all operator level maintenance on the vehicle and within the department as needed.
    • Complete all required documentation and logs related to the vehicle.

    • Education: High school or equivalent
    • Licensure: CDL
    • Certification: n/a
    • Experience: Must have two-three years of related driving experience

    • Hours of Work: Flexible

    • Exposure: While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Additionally, the employee may rarely be exposed to blood borne and other hazardous chemicals. Finally, the noise level in the work environment can rarely be quite loud. In all cases personal protective equipment will be provided to the employee in combination with adequate ventilation and other engineering controls to minimize the risk of exposure or other hazardous occurrence.
