LPN - Mobile Unit / Float 

Pay:$35,000 - $39,372

Position Summary

The Mobile Unit/Float LPN will support community-based healthcare initiatives by assisting with Hepatitis C (Hep C) and HIV oral swab testing in outreach settings throughout the region. This role includes collecting follow-up specimens, coordinating treatment appointments with healthcare providers, and educating consumers on testing procedures, prevention, and infection risk factors.

In addition to mobile outreach services, the LPN will float between outpatient offices within the FIVCO region to provide nursing support where needed. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, collecting laboratory specimens, and assisting clinical staff with patient care and daily operations.
 

Work Schedule
  • 2 days per week assigned to the Mobile RV Unit departing from Grayson

  • 3 days per week floating between outpatient offices within the FIVCO region, including:

    • Carter County

    • Elliott County

    • Greenup County

    • Boyd County

    • Lawrence County
       

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct Hep C and HIV oral swab testing in community outreach settings

  • Collect follow-up laboratory specimens as needed

  • Coordinate treatment appointments and referrals with providers

  • Educate consumers on:

    • Testing procedures

    • Infection prevention

    • Risk factors related to Hep C and HIV

  • Obtain and record vital signs

  • Collect laboratory specimens in outpatient settings

  • Assist providers and clinical staff with patient care needs

  • Travel throughout the FIVCO region to support clinic coverage as needed

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and confidentiality
     

Minimum Education & Licensing Requirements
  • Active LPN License
     

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Behavioral Health preferred, but not required
