Join Ashley and take your craft on the road—restoring furniture in customers’ homes and retail locations while also learning the ins and outs of warehouse operations, product prep, material handling, equipment operation, inventory, and quality assurance. Role highlights

• Repair across product lines with minimal supervision; support other techs as needed.
• Execute minor top-surface fixes on case goods and tables; complete advanced replacement-part repairs.
• Perform solid-color paper/side refinishes and rebuild small corner damages.
• Set up and use a spray booth safely when required.
• Operate hand and power tools safely—especially drills, impact drivers, and multi-tools.
• Assess damage quickly to determine the most efficient path to a like-new outcome; communicate when on-site repair isn’t feasible.
• Inspect, document, and follow through on recurring damage trends; collaborate with warehouse teams on inspection-line touchups.
• Maintain an orderly repair area and a clean, well-stocked service vehicle; report tool/parts/hardware needs.
• Follow planned routes for punctual customer visits; comply with company driving policy and annual MVR review requirements.
• Complete periodic bench-testing evaluations to validate and advance your skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• 1+ year of furniture repair experience (upholstery, leather, wood refinishing) or comparable materials work with color matching.
• Read/write English; multilingual ability is beneficial.
• Independent worker with solid time management; able to learn in-house software.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record per company standards.
• Proficiencies: Forklift licensed and experienced furniture technician.

Physical demands & environment

• Close/distance/color/peripheral/depth vision and focus adjustments for reading reports and screens.
• Ability to hear, understand, and speak clearly.
• Extended sitting; frequent standing and walking.
• Repetitive hand tasks (keyboarding, handwriting, POS/office equipment, handheld device operation).
• Bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, crouching; reaching at/above shoulder height.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. solo; more with assistance.
• Primarily in private homes and retail stores; occasional warehouse work.
• Exposure possibilities: oil, latex, spray paint, household chemicals, biological odors, household dust; moderate office noise.
