Position Title: Mobility Manager

Pay Grade: Negotiable based on experience

Classification: Full-Time

Reports To: Community Resources Director

Supervises: N/A

Standard Work Day: 8.5 Hours, Monday-Thursday, 7:30-4:30

FLSA: Exempt

 

Job Summary:

To coordinate transportation services and resources with other transportation and human resources providers, agencies, organizations and other sources of funds. Solve transportation challenges and connect people with appropriate resources.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High-school diploma or equivalency
  • Valid Driver’s License and be insurable under agency policy.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, marketing, or related field is preferred

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a transportation system
  • Demonstrated knowledge of transportation programs, customers, county and contacts/resources within Pickaway County

Competency:

  • Ability to communicate verbally, written and electronically.
  • Ability to function and interact with the Transportation Team as well as with Committees and Providers.
  • Ability to effectively deal with work related issues maintaining a professional manner while meeting the high demand of the public, supervisors, funding sources, and other providers.
  • Ability to prioritize the daily demands of mobility management, to make sure all responsibilities are completed, documented and reported in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to coordinate between multiple agencies, work with passengers to secure resources for transportation, organize and chair the county’s Transportation Coordinating Committee meeting, work with MORCP on the regional coordinated transportation plan, and all other responsibilities of mobility management (organization, documentation, etc)
  • Ability to work effectively with computers, and various software programs to produce reports, public awareness and social media information, and other necessary forms.
  • Ability to stay updated on Transportation and Mobility Management Information, Software system upgrades, policies, intricate workings of providers included in our Coordination Plan as well as funding availability.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to stay on task. Must have the initiative to always be looking for additional resources and opportunities and the ability to follow through on these leads.

Travel:

  • Occasional nights, weekends or overnight travel out of county and in county travel required

 

Work Environment:

  • Extended hours may be required during critical workloads
  • Majority of time spent in office setting within agency facility

 

Physical demands:

  • Majority of time spent in office setting within agency facility; Time will be spent driving to make business contacts, meeting, trainings, and conferences
  • Requires standing, bending, reaching, sitting in working with office equipment such as computer, telephone, adding machine, etc.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Identify and bring multiple resources together for the purpose of meeting the transportation needs identified in this community
  • To Keep the Coordinated Plan updated and functional
  • To market mobility options in the county
  • To communicate to the Community Resources Director details of projects working on with regular updates.
  • Organize and Chair the Transportation Coordinating Committee.
  • Participate in quarterly ODOT and regional mobility meetings
  • Attend Meetings, Trainings and Conferences. Staying updated on policies and rule changes that effect state and local transit. Report pertinent information back to the Community Resources Director and Executive Director
  • Documenting activities and information needed for funding sources and committees
  • Maintain records required by grants, committee minutes, meetings and any other documentation that needs to be kept.
  • To assist the Executive Director, Community Resources Director, and/or Director of Transit with preparation for grant applications and execution of grants involved with.
  • Perform related duties and tasks as assigned by the Community Resources Director.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
