We are hiring a Model-Based Software Development & Validation Engineer to join an automotive engineering team focused on developing and validating embedded software for advanced vehicle systems. This role is ideal for engineers with strong experience in MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, Model-Based Design (MBD), and software testing (MIL/SIL).
Key Skills Required
Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow
Experience in Model-Based Software Development (MBD) for automotive systems
Expertise in MIL (Model-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) testing
Experience with Simulink Test and BTC EmbeddedTester
Knowledge of automated test case development, MC/DC coverage, and formal verification
Experience with Embedded Coder for auto code generation
Understanding of AUTOSAR architecture
Experience with ISO 26262, MISRA C, and Functional Safety
Familiarity with Data Dictionaries (.sldd), solver configurations, and sample time settings
Experience with version control, continuous integration (CI), and model lifecycle management
Exposure to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) is preferred
Strong debugging, analytical, and technical documentation skills
Roles & Responsibilities
Develop embedded software using MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow
Translate system requirements into software models and ECU interfaces
Design and validate control algorithms using Model-Based Design techniques
Create and execute MIL & SIL test cases using Simulink Test and BTC EmbeddedTester
Perform automated testing, back-to-back MIL vs. SIL validation, and MC/DC coverage analysis
Generate production-quality C/C++ code using Embedded Coder
Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and MISRA C
Debug software issues and perform root cause analysis
Manage Simulink models, data dictionaries, and software versions
Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Validation teams throughout the development lifecycle
Support offshore teams and contribute to continuous improvement in software quality and testing
