As a MBSE, you will play a critical role in the development and integration of software systems by applying model-based approaches to define, analyze, and manage system requirements and designs in an Agile software development context. This position emphasizes the use of digital engineering practices and tools (such as SysML and Dassault Cameo System modeler) to capture and manage system models, enabling improved traceability, integration, and validation of system requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, test engineers, and program managers, to ensure consistency across disciplines and alignment with customer expectations.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain system architecture and design models using MBSE tools and methodologies.Perform requirement traceability, impact analysis, and design validation through model simulations.Support trade studies, system decomposition, and design reviews with digital artifacts.Provide technical direction and requirement transparency across development teamsPerforming requirements management including requirements creation, tracking, flow down, coverage, verification tracking, compliance matrices, etc.Developing test procedures to formally verify system requirements for sell off eventsDecomposing system requirements and collaborating with multi-disciplined, distributed teams to generate efficient and scalable solutionsSupporting the development, implementation, and verification of mission capabilitiesParticipating in the development and execution of program milestones events such as Customer meetings, internal and formal Government testing events, and discrepancy report (DR) review boardsConducting testing events of software solutions and generating Test result documentationQualificationsRequired:5 years of professional experience working in systems engineering with at least 1 year applying Model Based Systems Engineering principlesProficiency with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM Rhapsody, or Enterprise ArchitectWorking knowledge of SysMLExperience developing and managing system requirements, interface definitions, and verification plansAbility to develop requirementsAbility to develop test procedures that verify requirementsAbility to develop traceability between requirements, code, and verificationEffective cross-organizational communicator with the ability to work well in a small team, fast paced environmentWorking knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development MethodologyBachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering fieldU.S. Citizenship with an active Secret security clearanceDesiredOMG SysML Model Builder Fundamental and/or OMG SysML Model User certificateStrong understanding of digital engineering, model integration, and system simulation techniquesCurrent IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security+)Experience integrating system modelsExperience with UAF and/or Magic Grid frameworksExperience with using automated tests to sell off formal requirement verificationExperience with government Site Acceptance process and proceduresExperience in working with software-defined interfaces that use either XML or JSON to both document and implementExperience with SATCOM or GEOINT systemsDemonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and engage with virtual teamsDemonstrated business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needsFamiliarity with Cloud Architectures and deployment requirements for US DoDExperience in the operational deployment of multi-product baselines and functionalityExperience developing a software architect using digital toolsExperience with DOORS or DOOR Next GenExperience with Gitlab, JIRA, or other agile management softwareWhat You Can ExpectA culture of integrity.
