Model Elementary
SOI Technician
POSITION PURPOSE: Manages daily lab operations, overseeing targeted support to elementary students by administering/scoring SOI/IPP assessments, activities, and data collection for progress monitoring.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential functions satisfactorily.
- Lead daily SOI/IPP lab sessions for assigned students, following prescribed protocols and individualized plans provided by the SOI/IPP service team.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of student performance, progress, and attendance in the SOI/IPP lab.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and conducive learning environment within the SOI/IPP lab.
- Collects and summarizes student progress data as directed in collaboration with the SOI/IPP consultants and school teams.
- Participates in onsite coaching and training sessions led by the SOI/IPP service provider. Participates in onsite coaching and training sessions led by the SOI/IPP service provider.
- Accurate score assessments and record results.
- Generate reports on student progress for teachers, administrators, and parents as requested.
- Assist with student supervision and behavior management within the lab setting, adhering to school and district policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
- Must attend grade level MTSS Meeting
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- One of the following is required:
- Have 48 hours of college credit or higher
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- ParaPro Assessment with a score of 460 or higher
- Be willing to complete 10 modules in the online training platform Paraeducator within 2 months of employment at GCS (free training resources provided)
- Six months to a year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence
- Ability to plan and organize good work habits
- Other qualifications that the school district may require
HOURS: School year; 180 days per year; 35 hours per week; 7:30am-3:00 includes 30 minute lunch
SALARY: $18.50-$18.80, rate is dependent upon education and/or experience. (Schedule #21-1)
