Job Description The Model Maker I will work with various composite and 3D printed materials and maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition. The Model Maker I will be mentored and supported by team members on project work and customer interactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Surface parts and fit components for assemblies. • Develop composite tooling and molds. • Create foam plank build-ups. • Laminate with epoxy resins and carbon composites. • Participate in vac-form disciplines. • Operate shop equipment including hand tools and perform preventive maintenance. • Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up.
Education and Experience Required High school diploma or equivalent. 2 previous experience required.
Education and Experience Preferred Certificate in Autobody Automotive Technology or related. Valid drivers license.
Skills Knowledge and Abilities Required • Mechanical ability and ability to operate shop equipment. • Good attention to detail and organizational skills. • Able to work independently and as part of a team. • Has own tools with toolbox. • Ability to read, comprehend, and execute written and verbal instructions.
Skills Knowledge and Abilities Preferred • Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.
