The Modeling and Fabrication Technician is responsible for physical design, testing, and documentation responsibilities in the development of new structures and support of existing systems for GCI custom communication systems and electronic devices. Design work will include the design of precision mechanisms and complex assemblies that include machined, additive and subtractive fabrication, circuit boards, low and high voltage wiring, and custom radio frequency support components.

This job frequently requires the individual use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls in a light-production shop facility with professional manufacturing equipment.
Travel
GCI's systems are distributed regionally throughout the contagious United States (CONUS), and require quarterly updates to software systems, and occasionally hardware, as well. The successful candidate is able to travel at least four times a year to CONUS sites for two (2) to four (4) days to perform the scheduled maintenance.
