Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Job Description

As a Modeling and Simulation M&S Engineer on our team, youll have the chance to impact national defense as a critical member of our research and development team. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these tools and capabilities but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced models to evaluate system performance and support strategic decision-making.
  • Work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating initiative to complete complex tasks.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients.
  • Be proactive with assigned tasks and learn and apply new methods as required by the analysis.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience performing modeling and quantitative analysis, including discrete event simulation, agent-based modeling, network simulations, physics-based modeling, stochastic processes, or Monte Carlo analysis.
  • 5 years of experience working with object-oriented programming languages and environments such as Python, Java, C, C++, R, or MATLAB.
  • 2 years of experience with EOIR modeling and simulation software to construct scenes meeting criteria to investigate research questions.
  • Ability to be proactive with assigned tasks and learn and apply new methods as required by the analysis.
  • Ability to effectively and clearly communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating initiative to complete complex tasks.
  • Active TSSCI clearance, willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • Bachelors degree in CS, Mathematics, or an Engineering field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale computational simulations within high-performance computing environments for complex aerodynamic engineering and scientific applications.
  • Experience in image processing, projective geometry, and computer vision techniques.
  • Experience with parallel programming languages and frameworks such as MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, and OpenCL.
  • Knowledge of numerical methods and scientific computing libraries such as BLAS, LAPACK, and PETSc.
  • Doctorate degree in CS, Mathematics, or an Engineering field.

Salary Range

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,000.00 to $198,000.00 annualized USD.
