Central Pines Regional Council (CPRC) /Triangle West Transportation Planning Organization

(TWTPO)

The Triangle West Transportation Planning Organization (TW TPO) is the regional

transportation planning agency in North Carolina's western Triangle. The TPO is responsible for

planning and programming all modes of transportation including highways, public transit, freight, bicycles, and pedestrians. Our work is regionally based, but community focused. The TPO formulates and implements plans that improve life locally and ensure that these plans reflect our

member communities' collective vision. CPRC/TW TPO is now accepting applications for 2

opening part-time positions of modeling and traffic data support analyst.

Education & Experience:

• Applicants must be at least a senior undergraduate student majoring in civil engineering,

urban and regional planning, geography, computer science, or a related field. Preference

will be given to candidates who are enrolled in or have completed a graduate program in

transportation or traffic engineering, urban and regional planning, Geography Information

Systems (GIS), computer science, operations research, or another closely related

discipline.

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge about Traffic operation and control devices. Traffic analysis and simulation

skills and experience, especially experience with Synchro, TransModeler, or other traffic

simulation modeling software,

• Traffic and travel data processing and analysis.
• Experience with GIS software,
• Database programming and statistics.
