Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Engineer (Senior‑Level)
Mission Intelligence Group is seeking a Senior‑Level Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) Engineer to lead advanced modeling and analytical efforts supporting mission and business stakeholders. This role supports NGA mission processes and GEOINT delivery across the National System of Geospatial‑Intelligence (NSG) by applying data‑driven analysis to complex systems and architectures.
Your Role
As a Senior‑Level MS&A Engineer, you will guide the development and application of models, simulations, and analytical tools to inform decision‑making and system design. You will mentor engineering teams, collaborate with analysts and stakeholders, and apply MS&A techniques to evaluate alternatives, assess performance, and enable future GEOINT capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide the development and use of complex models, tools, and algorithms to identify trends and patterns in Big Data
- Lead modeling of NGA architectures, system performance, and mission requirements aligned with NSG strategy and GEOINT enterprise vision
- Develop models supporting Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), performance trades, design trades, and new capability assessments
- Analyze and recommend deployment alternatives for capabilities within existing NSG architectures and cloud environments
- Apply MS&A techniques to system‑of‑systems and service‑oriented architectures
- Guide and mentor Mid‑ and Junior‑level MS&A Engineers
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate mission and business needs into analytical models and data‑driven insights
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience:
- 4 additional years of experience with no degree, or
- 2 additional years with a non‑STEM degree
- 12+ years of experience in government or industry performing modeling and analysis of:
- Large, complex System‑of‑Systems, or
- Service‑Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments in cloud, on‑premise, or hybrid infrastructures
- Knowledge of tools development and use in cloud environments
- Active TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
- Working knowledge of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages
- Machine learning experience
- 12+ years of experience in Operations Research
- Experience performing MS&A on solutions using:
- Cloud‑based technologies
- Structured and unstructured Big Data
- Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence techniques
