Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) Systems EngineerWe are currently seeking a Mid‑level Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) Engineer with experience in high‑fidelity mission and sensor modeling, digital engineering methods, and advanced simulation tools for our growing business in Dayton, Ohio. This position is on‑site at Wright‑Patterson AFB.How this position contributesMission: Using systems engineering best practices, digital engineering approaches, and high‑fidelity MS&A, design, develop, validate, and document mission and sensor‑level simulations that support advanced weapon systems and multi‑domain operational concepts.How: Apply industry‑standard simulation frameworks and modeling methodologies to assess system requirements, perform trade studies, develop mission/sensor‑level models, validate simulation outputs, integrate digital engineering workflows, and deliver data‑driven insights for government and industry partners.What skills are needed?Required:Experience in one or more of the following:High‑fidelity mission‑level modeling and simulation (e.g., AFSIM, NGTS, JSE)Systems modeling, performance assessment, and lifecycle analysisAgile and Digital engineering workflows, including MBSE alignment and model validationProbabilistic analysis, algorithm development, or simulation‑based system evaluationFamiliarity with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, Sparx Enterprise Architect, and/or Visual Paradigm)Familiarity with programming:A systems language (such as C or C++)A high‑level language (such as Python, MATLAB)Ability to direct customer engagement and facilitate product or system requirements gathering and analysisAbility to develop critical M&S inputs, including framework definition, requirements analysis, synthesis, systems analysis, and implementationWillingness to learn from othersA bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, computer science, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceApplicants must be U.S. citizens capable of obtaining and maintaining a U.S. DoD security clearanceDesired or Will TrainAt least 5 years of professional experience in MS&A, systems engineering, or mission analysisExpertise in AFSIM‑based modeling, algorithm development, or advanced simulation toolchainsExperience evaluating system performance through digital twins or MBSE‑integrated simulation architecturesAbout the CompanyMatrix Research is an employee‑owned, small business advancing the state of the art in radar systems, radio frequency, and sensor exploitation technologies.
