-Serve as Case Manager and primary contact for parents and teachers associated with assigned students' special education program, including special education service providers
Oversee assigned caseload of students'' IEPs
Communicate student disability-related needs and IEP requirements to teachers, counselors, nurse, and building staff
Act as point person for all parent communication relating to special education
Establish initial telephone contact within first two weeks of school
Respond to parent inquiries and concerns within twenty four hours
Provide progress reporting on IEP goals and objectives each quarter/trimester
Trouble shoot issues relating to student academic performance
Formally and informally monitor and report on student progress in identified goal areas, including check-ins weekly with all service providers and 2-3 times per quarter with general education teachers
