Position: Full-Time – Specialized Reading Services School Year: 2026–2027 Location: Braintree, MA 02184 Caseload: 30–38 Students
We are seeking a Moderate Special Education Teacher with expertise in structured literacy to provide specialized reading services at the high school level. This role requires advanced training in the Orton-Gillingham approach to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small-group reading instruction using Orton-Gillingham methods.
Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations.
Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts teaching license in Moderate Special Education.
Orton-Gillingham Credential (completion of both 1-year training and 1-year practicum).
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Experience supporting high school students with reading challenges.
