The Croton-Harmon UFSD is looking for a Modified Football Head Coach for the Fall 2026 season. We are looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable and positive role model to support our student-athletes and program goals.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • Possesses substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport, and has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
  • Has previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport.
  • Necessary coaching certifications, including First Aid, CPR, AED, and concussion.
  • Acceptable character development, self-discipline, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes
  • Serves as an appropriate role model and mentor through his/her instructions and actions.

REPORTS TO: The Athletic Director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation.

STIPEND: $4,878 the Fall 2026 Athletic Season as outlined by Section 1

JOB GOALS:

  • To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training.
  • To upgrade his/her knowledge and skills through coaching clinics, observations, consultation, etc.
  • Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the Croton-Harmon Community.
  • Maintains discipline, adjusts grievances and works to increase morale and cooperation.
  • Performs such other duties which may be assigned by the athletic director/principal.
  • Assist in the preparations to hold scheduled sport events/practices, and adhere to scheduled facility times.
  • Provides documentation to fulfill state and system requirements concerning physical examinations, parental consent and eligibility.
  • Provides proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment sites.
  • Advises the athletic director and recommends policy, method or procedural changes.
  • Provides assistance, guidance and safeguards for each participant at all practices, games and while traveling.
  • Provides training rules and any other unique regulations of the sport to each athlete.
  • Initiates programs and policies concerning injuries, medical attention and emergencies.
  • Assists athletes in their college or advanced educational selection.
  • Recommends equipment guidelines as to type, style, color or technical specifications.
  • Secures all doors, lights, windows, locks, and sets alarm before leaving the building if custodians are not on duty.
  • Instills in each player a respect for equipment and school property, its care and proper use.
  • Promotes the sport within the school through recruiting athletes who are not in other sports.
  • Promotes the sport and team outside the school through social media, news media, etc.
