Mold & Segment Mechanic

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Mold & Segment Mechanic includes providing mechanical maintenance assistance to the Caster area specifically relating to mold and segment equipment. This assistance should include but is not limited to lock out, tag out and try out of equipment, equipment repairs, equipment inspections, equipment alignments, execution of preventative maintenance measures, and execution of overall improvements to the Casting Process and Caster Maintenance Department. 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Prior Casting or Mold and Segment experience
• Must be willing to work nights and rotating shifts

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent Safety Record
• Prior Mechanical Maintenance Experience
• Two years of Mechanical Experience
