Job Description
Our client, a global leader in manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Setup Technician/Die Setter to join their team!
This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of their advanced manufacturing equipment.
Open shifts:
1st shift: 7am-3pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hoists to pull and set molds accurately.
- Perform all material handling duties efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and complete all backside setup duties.
- Install and verify hot runner cables and other necessary components.
- Set up and verify EOAT (End of Arm Tooling) and load robot programs.
- Ensure the process setup checklist is completed and validated.
- Confirm cell layout matches specifications as per the blue book.
- Purge new materials and prepare equipment for startup.
- Execute simple start-ups under the guidance of a Process Technician.
- Ensure all materials and components from previous jobs are removed and the area is clean before starting new operations.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization in the work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a setup technician or die setter
- Ability to pass certification for hilo, overhead crane, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Proficiency in using hand tools.
Preferences:
- Experience with injection molding or blow molding techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
