Mold Tooling Lead and CNC Manufacturing Programmer

Hours: 1st Shift, Mon–Fri, 6:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

What you’ll lead

  • End-to-end CNC programming, setup, and operation for precision mold components using mills, lathes, routers, and EDM equipment.
  • Translation of CAD models/blueprints into toolpaths; verification of offsets, tooling, and fixtures.
  • In-process inspection and final quality checks with calipers, micrometers, and other metrology tools.
  • Problem-solving and routine maintenance to sustain uptime and part quality.
  • Collaboration with engineering and production to improve cycle times, surface finishes, and repeatability.
  • Documentation of production activities and adherence to safety and 5S standards.
  • Support for tool/die/mold setups and repairs; contribution to continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll bring

  • High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational CNC training preferred.
  • 5+ years of CNC experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated tight-tolerance machining capability and strong mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Clear communication, detail orientation, and the ability to excel both independently and on a team.

Physical and workplace expectations

  • Standing for extended periods; exposure to typical shop noise and dust.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred capabilities

  • Advanced blueprint reading; precision measurement proficiency.
  • Experience with G-code/M-code; familiarity with CAD/CAM platforms.
