Job Summary
We are seeking a Molding Automation Technician with hands-on experience in injection molding automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting automated molding equipment, programming industrial robots, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting manufacturing operations to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair injection molding automation systems, including robots, conveyors, sensors, and vision systems.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial robots such as Fanuc, Sepro, Yushin, Wittmann, or similar.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, HMIs, servo motors, motion control systems, VFDs, and pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT).
  • Support mold trials, process improvements, and new product launches by setting up and optimizing automation systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve recurring automation issues and improve equipment performance.
  • Maintain robot programs, automation documentation, and maintenance records.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in injection molding automation or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with robot programming and troubleshooting in injection molding applications.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial sensors, servo motors, motion control systems, VFDs, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience working with Fanuc, Sepro, Yushin, Wittmann, or similar industrial robots.
  • Experience troubleshooting automated molding equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Experience with EOAT (End-of-Arm Tooling).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical certification or Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Industrial Automation, or a related field is preferred.
