Job Description

Purpose: To perform tasks that support the efficient operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated production systems.

Responsibilities

+ Perform automation-related duties with minimum supervision.

+ Conduct scheduled and preventative maintenance on robots, automated equipment, sensors, conveyors, and related control systems.

+ Assist employees in all departments and facilities with troubleshooting automation issues.

+ Keep automation work areas, robots, and peripheral equipment neat and orderly.

+ Demonstrate willingness to receive training and progress in the automation/controls field.

+ Obtain parts in times of emergency to minimize downtime.

+ Take control of equipment when a situation arises that has the potential for personal injury or rapid deterioration of automated machinery.

+ Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ Work independently and as part of a team.

+ Have mechanical and electrical/controls aptitude.

+ Accept responsibility for work performed.

+ Dependable and motivated with a good work history.

+ Able to participate in an apprenticeship or technical training program.

+ Able to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and automation diagrams.

+ Good reading comprehension and math skills.

Physical Qualifications

+ Ability to lift up to 35 pounds overhead.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to waist.

+ Must be able to work around grease, oils and solvents without adverse reaction.

+ Ability to climb up and down ladders.

+ Must be able to stand, walk bend or stoop through an entire shift.

+ Good manual dexterity of arms and fingers.

+ Must have 20/20 vision with correction and must be able to differentiate color.

12 hour shifts: 7pm to 7am

Starting pay: $29.75/hour plus $1.00 shift differential while working on nights
