Molding Set-Up Technician Needed - Carol Stream, IL

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in plastic production, is seeking a dedicated Molding Set-Up Technician to join their dynamic team. 

A molding setup technician is a manufacturing professional responsible for preparing, installing, and removing molds (tooling) in industrial molding machines, such as plastic injection or blow-molding machines.

Job Title: Molding Set-Up Technician

Location: Carol Stream, IL

Pay Range: $27

Shift: 6am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri)

What's the Job?

• Set up pull molds, including hydraulic cores
• Configure auxiliary equipment such as temperature control units and hot runner controllers
• Assist with starting machines and responding to alarms to maintain smooth operations
• Support color change procedures and operate all related equipment and gauges
• Relieve machine operators during breaks and lunches, maintaining safety and productivity standards

What's Needed?

• Knowledge of plastic machinery and the production process
• Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is helpful
• Strong technical problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities
• Detail-oriented with effective time management skills
