Position Summary The Molding Team Operator is responsible for setting molds, making process adjustments and operating more complex molding machines to produce high-quality assemblies and insert-molded tubing. Follow specific procedures and recordkeeping requirements on multiple machines.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Take process parameter readings; perform testing per applicable documentation. Perform audits to establish cutoff points for nonconforming product. Complete nonconformance and hold documentation as required. Pull required inspection samples as totes of molded components are completed. Create trace, container labels, and pallet sheets. Scan bar-coded labels into system. Ensure changeover paperwork is completed with proper information. Perform initial and alternate disposition of product. Move to appropriate staging area. Assist in the training of new Operators (OJT). Maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas. Model company values and support strategic initiatives. Inspect multiple types of parts against specifications and communicate issues with machine to responsible Technician.
Position Requirements This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations, and standards, good business practices, and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations, and statutes related to the site).

Knowledge & Skills Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask throughout the shift. Knowledge/use of computers. Adequate fine motor hand coordination required. Sound judgment for use in product disposition.
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience Must be at least 18 years of age. High School Diploma or GED required. Education requirements may be obtained through an educational institution or gained through equivalent work experience. Less than 1 year of experience; manufacturing background preferred.
Work Environment Work involves use of manufacturing equipment or close proximity to equipment. May be exposed to biohazards and/or chemicals. Work environment can range from clean room and proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open, potentially noisy, and with moving equipment. Recurring physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, climbing, bilateral motion involving hands, wrists, and upper body. Concentrated visual attention to perform checks on products and components. Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
