    Job Title: Molding Technician I

    Department: Operations

    Reports To: Molding Manager

    Pay Range:  $25 - $30 per hr (based on experience, skills, and qualifications)

    Job Type: Full time

    Location: Lancaster, PA 

    Job Summary 

    Material handling, processing, changing and maintaining molds, injection machines, and auxiliary equipment. 

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    ·         Performs quality assurance checks by observing continuous operation of automatic injection molding machines to ensure that products meet specifications and to detect jams or malfunctions, adjusting as necessary.

    ·         Measures and visually inspects products for surface and dimensional defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.

    ·          Sets up, operates, processes acceptable quality first piece parts and tend plastic injection molding machines to mold plastic parts and products.

    ·          Installs molds into machines or presses according to MXL production schedule to work order specifications. Reads QWI for any special items needed.

    ·          Verifies machine process and records temperatures, pressures, and press-cycle times keeping record of process on setup sheets.

    ·          Inventories and records quantities of materials and finished products; requisitions additional supplies as necessary. 

    ·         Maintains a clean and orderly work area, including but not limited to: mold rooms, resin room, warehouse resin and supply storage.

    ·         Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

    ·         Conforms to all safety rules and uses all appropriate safety equipment.

    ·         All other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

    ·         High School Diploma or GED required.

    ·         Two to Three years related experience.

    ·         Background in processing polycarbonate a plus.
