Our client is seeking a hands-on Molding Technician to support automated plastic injection molding operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for machine setup, process stability, quality verification, and accurate production documentation to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality components. The ideal candidate brings prior molding or manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a safety-first mindset.
Job Responsibilities-
- Set up, start, and safely operate vertical injection molding presses and related automation equipment.
- Perform mold changes, material changeovers, and tooling adjustments to support production schedules.
- Monitor and adjust processing parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time to maintain consistency.
- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, gauges, and other basic measuring tools.
- Document production data, quality checks, and lot traceability information within the company"s ERP system.
- Respond to machine alarms and minor equipment faults; escalate complex issues to maintenance or engineering.
- Ensure proper resin drying, material handling, and lot control procedures are followed.
- Adhere to all safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and PPE requirements.
Job Requirements -
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience in plastic injection molding or a similar manufacturing setting preferred.
- Formal training in injection molding (RJG, Paulson, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Ability to perform machine setups, changeovers, and quality verification checks independently.
- Basic computer proficiency for production reporting and ERP data entry.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, shift-based production environment.
