Molecular Technologist (NGS Focus)
Location: Milford, PA (Onsite)
Shifts: Tuesday-Saturday and Monday-Friday
Position Overview
The Molecular Technologist performs complex molecular diagnostic testing, including Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), to support patient care. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to established laboratory protocols and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform molecular testing procedures, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, and NGS workflows
  • Prepare libraries, operate sequencing instruments, and assist with data processing
  • Follow and maintain SOPs, QC, and QA procedures
  • Accurately document test results and maintain laboratory records
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, NYS DOH, and internal policies
  • Participate in validation and verification of new assays
  • Communicate results and issues effectively to supervisors and team members
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, Medical Technology, or related field
  • NYS license in Molecular Pathology (required)
  • 1 3+ years of molecular laboratory experience, preferably with NGS
  • Experience with molecular techniques (PCR, qPCR, sequencing)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
