Yard Monitor – Marshall, MI
Marshall Integrated Solutions is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Yard Monitors in Marshall, Michigan. This position is responsible for monitoring trailer movements, updating customer inventory systems, and coordinating the movement of trailers between locations. The role primarily works from mobile offices located within trailer yards and supports daily yard operations.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor and track trailer and load movements
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- Update customer trailer management and inventory systems
- Distribute paperwork to inbound and outbound drivers
- Communicate effectively via radio, phone, and email
- Verify the accuracy of driver paperwork against customer systems
- Coordinate trailer movements and deliveries as needed
Qualifications
- Entry-level position; training provided
- Customer service and/or data entry experience preferred
- Logistics, transportation, dispatching, or yard management experience is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in mobile offices and a construction-like outdoor environment
