Position Summary: Under the supervision, and/or direction of the Nursing Director/Clinical Manager, Resource Nurse, or Staff Nurse performs the Monitor Tech functions and Unit Secretary functions. Responsible for ensuring a professional atmosphere in the nursing unit. Demonstrates good public relations skills during interaction with physicians, patients, visitors, and other hospital staff. Greets, directs, and gives non-professional factual information to patients and personnel from other departments. Critical to success of patient and physician satisfaction. Qualifications/Requirements EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent. Required licensures/certifications Current BLSSkills and AbilitiesGood oral and written communication skills in the English language.Bilingual a plus.Medical terminology.ExperienceModerately advanced knowledge of ECG rhythms; knowledge of 12 lead ECG preferred.Previous experience as a monitor technician preferred.
