The Monitor Technician plays a key role within the Nursing Monitor Techs department, supporting a 32-bed surgical telemetry unit that provides continuous care to individuals recovering from surgical procedures and experiencing cardiac arrhythmias. As part of this department, the Monitor Technician helps ensure accurate cardiac observation and timely communication that directly supports clinical decision-making. The Monitor Technician is essential to maintaining safe, uninterrupted cardiac monitoring operations. The Monitor Technician works in close collaboration with nursing staff and other clinical personnel to track, document, and communicate changes in cardiac rate and rhythm. This role requires a high level of focus, attention to detail, and reliability to support patient outcomes throughout each shift.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable to varied and rotating schedules, and experienced in monitoring cardiac rhythms in a clinical environment. A strong understanding of EKG patterns, patient monitoring procedures, and accurate clinical documentation practices is highly valued, along with demonstrated reliability in fast-paced hospital settings.
Minimum $18.27 - Midpoint $22.84 - Maximum $27.40
The typical work schedule is Nights or Days, Rotating, Varied, Weekends from 7p -7a or 7a - 7p. Both shifts are available. The total work week is 36 hours.
