Position Details:
- Hourly base rate: $19.54 - $30.56
- Shift: Nights
- Shift Hours Per Week: 36 hours/week, 12-hour shifts
- SEIU Local 49 represented position
Job Summary:
- Communicate clearly: verbally, in writing, on the telephone and via the patient call system.
- Simultaneous observation and evaluation of real time cardiac monitors and telemetry monitors.
- Manage unit secretarial activity: assemble, disassemble patient charts, transcribe orders
- Use computers.
- Examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors.
- Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat.
- Ensures that monitors are functioning properly.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Works under general supervision.
- Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Associates degree preferred and at least 1 year of experience in the field.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
