    As a Monitor Tech at MUSC, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms for patients in various healthcare settings. Your responsibilities will include observing cardiac monitors, recognizing abnormal rhythms, and promptly alerting healthcare professionals to any changes in patient status.     Job Description

    Observe and examine the heart monitors of various patients and detecting and reporting on abnormalities and inconsistencies, such as irregular heartbeat or arrhythmia.

    Additional Job Description

    Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year in a .6fte or greater Monitor Technician I position at MUSC or 1 year of Monitor Technician/Telemetry work experience in a health care facility and succeful completion of the EKG training/competency during the orientation period in order to remain in the Monitor Technician II position. Credentials: Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire. Thereafter, must maintain. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
