Client Job Description:
Senior Architect accountable for the day-to-day support and delivering on strategic objectives for horizontal shared services organization supporting Client applications. Align IT Service Operations objectives with key organizational goals to enable improved operational efficiencies, risk reduction and stability. Ideal candidate must be collaborative, timeline oriented, delivery capable and a strong influencer of outcomes across domains, platforms, and frameworks.

Overview:
The Operational Intelligence Team seeks Senior Architect to develop, document and drive the monitoring strategy and its adoption and evolution with a focus on standards and application instrumentation for Applications Production Services (Client).

This is a unique opportunity to work with Business, Application Development and Support teams, Monitoring Tools teams and to create Monitoring Requirements and build end-end monitoring solutions to support applications.


What you will do:
Rollout of the strategic monitoring tool across Client applications
SME for monitoring tools that form part of the global monitoring strategy
Monitoring setup for Applications on Cloud and Containers infrastructure.
Host demos, overviews, and training of the monitoring tools for adoption across teams, preparing related materials to support sessions and adoption of tools (presentations, operational manuals etc.)
Liaise with Client in the planning and scheduling of deployments
Consult with Client teams and assist in configuration of monitoring events/dashboards to maximize the potential and use of monitoring tool
Preparation of reporting of monitoring tools adoption and other related data points and other relevant metrics
Participate in global discussions on the continuation and evolution on global monitoring strategy


Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in development or architecture for multi tier business applications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in architecting and/or supporting production systems.
  • Strong background in application and network performance/availability monitoring.
  • Proven hands on experience with enterprise monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
  • Familiarity with synthetic monitoring solutions (e.g., SiteScope, Dynatrace Synthetics, Catchpoint).
  • Experience supporting N Tier architecture environments involving web servers, middleware, databases, and related technologies.
  • Experience supporting monitoring capabilities within cloud and containerized environments.
  • Strong knowledge of operating system–level services (Windows/Unix), including processing, monitoring, and shell scripting.
  • Understanding of ITIL functions and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple organizational levels.
  • Self motivated and hands on, with strong leadership qualities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to connect business context to technical solutions.
