    Description

    Qualifications:

    • Coaches are to be at least 21 years of age
    • High school diploma or GED is required
    • Coaches are required to comply with WIAA Coaches Philosophy and Requirements (available at http://www.wiaa.com/pub/handbook)
    • Three or more years of coaching/advisory experience preferred
    • Must be able to safely lift sports equipment and materials weighing up to and in excess of 50 lbs.
    • Knowledge of WIAA rules and regulations governing applicable sports/co-curricular program
    • Valid First Aid card with CPR endorsement and Hepatitis B/HIV training
    • WSP/FBI background clearance
    • Bilingual Spanish preferred

    Responsibilities:

    • Work within the Montesano School District School Board policies and procedures to maintain & build a competitive extra-curricular program
    • Review and become knowledgeable in the MSD Co-curricular Handbook & Code of Conduct and WIAA Coaches Code of Conduct
    • Must show enthusiasm, as well as coach students under the direction of a head coach/advisor when applicable
    • Assist in teaching competitive skills in an appropriate manner and conduct organized practices
    • Coach and/or assist with extra-curricular competitions
    • Work cooperatively with the media
    • Take an active part in increasing community and student interest in the MSD extra-curricular program
    • Be a team player and positive role model at all times
    • Work cooperatively and efficiently with district administrators, staff, students, and parents
    • Managing online form system, Final Forms
