Mooring Systems Integrity Engineer (Asset Integrity Group)


We're looking for a skilled and motivated Mooring Systems specialist to join our Asset Integrity team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of mooring systems across the company's worldwide fleet of FPSOs as well as supporting our external clients.

You'll combine technical expertise with hands-on operational support, helping to maintain some of the most critical assets in the offshore energy industry.

What You'll Do
- Develop and execute in-service inspection plans and work packs for mooring systems.
- Review inspection data and perform integrity assessments and fit-for-service evaluations.
- Create and maintain mooring integrity strategies, including Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs.
- Support mooring incident response planning and execution when needed.
- Work closely with global operations teams to provide technical and operational support for mooring systems on FPSOs worldwide.
- Collaborate with the mooring analysis and hydrodynamic teams to share lessons learned and continuously improve mooring designs.
- Stay current with the latest subsea inspection technologies, tools, and best practices and engage with suppliers on new developments.
- Help tailor scopes of work for clients and support commercial agreements.
- Contribute to the specification and development of mooring monitoring systems.

This role offers a great mix of technical depth and global collaboration. You'll regularly tackle complex integrity and operational issues, present technical recommendations to stakeholders, and build strong working relationships across different business units and geographies.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.

Experience
- 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience in offshore, mooring, marine, or asset integrity.
- Background can come from engineering & design, installation, operations support, or integrity management.

Preferred Experience
- Mooring system analysis and design
- Mooring installation and component manufacturing
- Inspection, monitoring, and condition assessment of mooring components
- Marine or subsea operations
- Class society compliance (ABS, DNV, LR, etc.)

**Knowledge & Skills**
- Familiarity with industry standards (ABS, DNV, API, ISO, etc.)
- Strong understanding of mooring systems and offshore marine operations
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with Matlab, Python, OrcaFlex, or database tools (Airtable, Monday.com) is a strong plus
