Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mori Saw Operations:
- Operate the Mori saw in accordance with established procedures, safety standards, and production requirements.
- Ensure accurate cutting of pipe to meet job specifications and production schedules.
- Complete all required checks, setups, and documentation related to saw operations.
- Maintain qualification and training status required to operate the saw.
- Take accountability of the Mori Saw equipment. This includes but is not limited to deep cleaning, equipment inspections, and basic level maintenance.
- Attend daily Level 1 Meetings with the Mori Threading production team.
- Cross-Department Coordination:
- Coordinate daily cutting priorities and schedules between Tuboscope, QA, Mori Threading, and PMC Threading departments.
- Communicate effectively to avoid delays and ensure efficient workflow for all departments using the saw building.
- Adjust priorities as needed based on production demands and customer requirements.
- 5S and Facility Ownership:
- Maintain accountability for cleanliness, organization, and 5S compliance in the Mori Saw building.
- Identify and address housekeeping issues to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to organization and workflow.
- Production Maintenance Support
- Assist as a Production Maintenance Technician on days when saw operations are not required.
- Perform general maintenance and support tasks in the Mori and PMC buildings, including but not limited to welding, painting, and fabrication work.
- Support equipment upkeep and small repairs as assigned.
- Operational Flexibility
- Be prepared to step into a Level 1 Operations role during personnel shortages or outages within the Mori and PMC buildings.
- Provide support to maintain production continuity and meet operational needs.
Qualifications:
- Qualified and trained to operate industrial saw equipment (or ability to obtain qualification).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and experience with production or maintenance work preferred.
- Ability to work across multiple departments and communicate effectively.
- Strong sense of ownership, organization, and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and teamwork.
- Willingness to be flexible and support operations as business needs require.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
REQURIEMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Should be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 75 lbs.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions well.
