Job Title: Mortgage / Assumptions Processor

Job Location: Remote (All remote work must be performed within the United States.)

Job Type: Contract - Must be able to work as a W2 employee of Newbold.

Compensation: $30-35/hour, based on the candidate's skills and experience. No other forms of compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, are offered for this position. Newbold offers health care benefits and other benefits under applicable Federal or State law.

General Job Description: We are seeking an Assumptions Processor to manage and process residential mortgage loan assumption requests from application through final approval. This role is responsible for reviewing borrower documentation, validating eligibility, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring assumption transactions comply with agency, investor, regulatory, and servicing requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in mortgage servicing or processing, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple files while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and service-level expectations.

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of mortgage servicing, loan processing, assumptions, or related mortgage operations experience.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage loan documentation, borrower qualification requirements, and assumption transaction workflows.
  • Knowledge of agency and investor guidelines, including FHA, VA, Conventional, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and other servicing requirements.
  • Experience reviewing financial documentation, calculating borrower qualification metrics, and validating supporting documentation.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume pipeline, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain detailed transaction tracking throughout the process.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Experience with mortgage servicing systems such as MSP/Black Knight (preferred).
