This position provides support to mortgage banking activities through the sales, servicing, and management of clients and referral sources. Processes critical mortgage loan and service documentation. Serves as a point of contact with clients by providing loan process updates, answering inquiries, and following up on outstanding documentation needs. Enhances outreach through direct mail, phone campaigns, and other activities that facilitate sales and marketing efforts for the department.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:Sales Support - Schedules appointments, answers incoming communications, and coordinates business development events to aid management of clients and referral sources in lending activities. Regularly updates clients and referrals on loan process status. Provides post-application support to help manage rate locks, loan addendums, and changes.
Documentation - Streamlines lending activities by managing critical documentation such as point of sale documents, disclosure statements, and mortgage loan applications. Prepares file packages and maintains client databases.
Sales & Marketing - Assists with sales and marketing activities including direct client communications, coordinating sales materials, and other related tasks. Periodically assists more advanced sales duties such as attending events or participating in calls.
Loan Proficiency - Maintains knowledge of loan processes, documentation, and applicable regulations to accurately support loan activities. Utilizes knowledge to assist clients with questions or concerns.
Position Specific Skills:
Mortgage experience with understanding of required documents
Knowledge of banking products to cross-sell
Experience with Microsoft Access
Experience with any mortgage loan origination software
Communication (Written and Verbal)

Qualifications:
Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 2 years' experience in Sales or Service in Financial Industry or Mortgage
Required Licenses or Certifications: Must complete federal registration and annual renewal as required by the SAFE Act.
