Job Summary
We are seeking a Closer supporting the Declining Balance Co-Ownership closing process. This role is responsible for handling routine administrative and transaction-processing activities after applications have been approved, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of closing documentation and support throughout the closing process.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Review approved applications to verify completeness and accuracy of required information.
- Prepare standard closing packages and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure all required documentation is delivered to settlement attorneys within established timelines.
- Balance, review, and route Closing Disclosure (CD) documents for approval in compliance with company guidelines.
- Process wire requests for scheduled closings following established protocols and procedures.
- Perform routine file reviews as part of internal quality control processes.
- Respond to basic questions from buyers, sellers, and other parties regarding transaction details.
- Obtain required signatures on standard closing documents.
- Review and clear title commitments.
- Provide administrative support to ensure an efficient and accurate closing workflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience in a mortgage, closing, title, or transaction support role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard business applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
