Position Overview
The Mortgage Finance Client Management Senior Analyst serves as a subject matter expert and strategic partner responsible for managing a portfolio of complex warehouse lending clients while providing leadership, mentorship, and operational guidance across the Client Management team. This role leverages advanced analytical, technical, and regulatory expertise to evaluate loan and legal documentation, interpret complex compliance requirements, optimize client funding processes, and configure client solutions within ProMerit and related systems. The successful candidate demonstrates strong business judgment, strategic problem-solving, relationship management, and communication skills, while driving operational excellence, supporting team development, and ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, risk management, and client service. Through collaboration with internal stakeholders and external clients, this individual contributes to process improvements, regulatory compliance, funding accuracy, and the overall success of the warehouse lending business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of complex and strategic client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for onboarding, funding operations, issue resolution, and ongoing client support.
- Analyze loan documentation, credit approvals, legal agreements, and regulatory requirements to ensure accurate funding deployment, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Exercise sound judgment in resolving complex operational, compliance, and client-related issues, escalating matters with significant business or policy implications as appropriate.
- Lead the configuration, validation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of client profiles within ProMerit to align system functionality with client business models and funding requirements.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to Client Management Analysts, supporting professional development, quality standards, and team effectiveness.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across Operations, Credit, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Relationship Management teams to support client objectives and operational execution.
- Review and oversee complex documentation and operational activities to ensure accuracy, audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Identify operational risks, process inefficiencies, and system enhancement opportunities; lead or contribute to initiatives that improve scalability, quality, and client experience.
- Analyze data, trends, and client activity to provide actionable insights, support decision-making, and drive continuous improvement across client portfolios.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of warehouse lending, mortgage finance, regulatory requirements, and industry trends to serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in warehouse lending, mortgage finance, loan operations, commercial lending operations, or a related financial services environment
- Advanced knowledge of warehouse lending structures, loan documentation, legal agreements, funding mechanics, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex client relationships and resolving sophisticated operational or compliance-related issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data, documentation, and business requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reporting, data analysis, formulas, and data validation.
- Experience using financial, lending, or workflow management systems such as ProMerit, Signature, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to quality, compliance, and risk management.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in warehouse lending, mortgage banking, capital markets, or a related financial services environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through mentoring, coaching, training, or serving as a subject matter expert within an operations or client management function.
- Experience leading process improvement, operational excellence, system implementation, or automation initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Advanced knowledge of mortgage industry regulations, warehouse lending operations, investor requirements, and audit/compliance practices.
- Experience utilizing advanced reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to support operational decision-making and business insights.
- MBA, Master's degree, or other advanced industry-related certification.
