    Description

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

    The Mortgage Loan Construction Admin establishes and maintains construction loan accounts and administers construction loan draws. This position performs the builder approval process and builder setup. The Mortgage Loan Construction Admin supports clients and builders with the construction loan and the modification process through the closing of the secondary market loan.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Monitor and provide approval of Construction Perm loans before and at closing.

    2. Process preclosing on construction loans by reviewing documents such as construction contracts, plans, specs, site plans, title work, Construction and Repair forms, etc.

    3. Review and file recorded documents for accuracy after closing.

    4. Create a full work up of inspections of property throughout the construction phase.

    5. Approve documents such as Builders Risk, Builder Liability, Flood Insurance, Notice to Owners, Lien Waivers, Notice of Commencements, Foundation Surveys, etc.

    6. Process final draws and facilitate modifications.

    7. Utilize reports and data to monitor workload and loan status.

    8. Oversee the extension of Notice of Commencements.

    9. Process extensions of the interest-only term of Construction Perm loans.

    10. Provide support to the Home Builder Approval Program.

    11. Collaborate with Borrowers and Builders about inquiries.

    12. Monitor past due Construction Perm loans.

    13. Maintain confidentiality.

    14. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

    15. Completes required BSA/AML training and other compliance training as assigned.

    16. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. Equivalent to a four-year college degree, plus 5 years related experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    COMMUNICATION SKILLS

    Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of known variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats.

    • Five (5) years of related experience and/or training
    • Two (2) years of related management and/or supervisory experience
