Mortgage Loan Officer

A well-respected community bank is confidentially seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer to join their growing lending team. This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-focused lender who enjoys working closely with borrowers, making an impact in the local community, and being part of a collaborative, family-oriented culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with borrowers, referral partners, and community organizations
  • Originate residential mortgage loans with a focus on first-time homebuyers and low-to-moderate income borrowers
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of mortgage business throughout Fairfield County
  • Provide excellent customer service and guidance throughout the lending process
  • Cross-sell bank products and services when appropriate
  • Maintain compliance with all lending regulations and internal policies
  • Partner closely with underwriting and operations teams to ensure a smooth and efficient loan process

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3+ years of mortgage lending experience preferred
  • Proven track record of producing $10mm+ annually
  • Strong business development and relationship-building skills
  • Existing clientele and referral network within Fairfield County required
  • Experience working with first-time homebuyers and low-to-moderate income borrowers is highly desired
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
